This vase is basically made up of two blocks placed on top of each other. I built it from individual plates that I had previously decorated with a piece of wool fabric. The understated dove-blue (or, as you may see it, light grey-blue) glaze underlines the special structure by making the depressions darker and the raised areas appear lighter. I glazed the inside of the vase with a mottled glaze. The beautiful piece is made of earthenware clay and has been fired several times, most recently at 1060 degrees Celsius.
Dimensions: height approx. 12.5 cm, width and depth approx. 14.5 cm each.
